Fonè Original Analog Master Tapes

Fonè Records was founded by Italian recording engineer and producer Giulio Cesare Ricci. 

Since 1983 the label has been dedicated to capturing music using a strictly analog recording chain and minimal signal processing in order to preserve the natural dynamics and acoustic realism of live performances.

All Fonè analog master tapes are duplicated in real time directly from the original master recording and produced in limited quantities for audiophiles and collectors. Each tape is individually transferred and mastered by Giulio Cesare Ricci using an entirely analog system. 

Each release is produced as a unique audiophile edition with approximately 30 minutes of music recorded in real time.

This album was recorded during the "Festival Musica delle Tradizioni" on September 2016 in Vicenza. Thanks to the presence of the audience of the Teatro Comunale di Vicenza, Petra Magoni's voice and Ferruccio Spinetti's double bass gave life to an even more exciting and extraordinary interpretation. Verso Sud is a musical journey in Southern Italy and the world in pure Musica Nuda style, that is "instinct and freedom" both in the choice of the repertoire and in the way of interpreting it, with lightness but never without respect.

This album includes  the five masses of the MISSARUM LIBER PRIMUS by the famous composer Pierluigi da Palestrina. The singing is by the Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, directed by director Roberto Gabbiani. A reference edition for all lovers of sacred music. Regarding the choice of location, Giulio Cesare Ricci made an exception by choosing not a historic location, but the large choir room of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, chosen, designed and built by Renzo Piano.

KOINE 'is a meeting point for different cultures and languages.
In a world that loses its colors and its peculiarities due to an imposed globalization, Rita Marcotulli wrote this album, which she sought in its deepest strings, thus creating a coincidence of feelings, chromaticity and ethnicities. This album is a rhythmic, melodic, harmonious journey that has been created with other artists from different and distant countries who share their inner perceptions about this world. It is done through a fairy tale that recalls life (or vice versa), sung with such an incredible voice as if it came from nowhere (Lena Willemark); the other expresses subtle feelings with an even finer voice (Anja Garbarek), which contrasts with the explosion of vitality of Arto Tuncboyaciyan's interpretations and the urgent and happy rhythm of Gianmaria Testa's warm voice. All with the passion and vibration of the respective instruments.
